Lincoln prepared a custom Navigator for Serena Williams after a design discussion held last summer with Christine Park Cheng, the brand’s Global Design Director. During a July meeting, Williams outlined what she wanted for her future sport utility vehicle, and the design group at Galpin Lincoln in Los Angeles turned those requests into a one-off build finished from front to rear in a new color called Perfect Rose.

The partnership between Serena Williams and Lincoln dates from February 2018, though her connection with the brand started much earlier. In 1998, after earning money from her first major tournament, she bought her first Lincoln Navigator. She named that vehicle Ginger and still keeps it today, with no plan to part with it. Her household already includes other headline vehicles, too, since Alexis Ohanian became one of the earliest customers to receive a Tesla Cybertruck.

This latest Navigator reflects several details Williams requested directly. She told the team she had always liked pink, roses, and hearts. Designers responded by creating a rose emblem with one petal shaped like a heart. That symbol appears on the B-pillar and again on the split rear gate.

The body color uses Perfect Rose, described by Lincoln as a new interpretation of Sunrise Copper with added pink tone and sparkle. High Gloss Black trim and Satin Obsidian accents complete the outer finish. The same theme continues once the doors open.

Door sills carry engraved personal writing. Williams asked for her phrase, “Keep going,” and Lincoln placed those words there in a custom typeface. The sill plates also include birth years for each family member. Serena’s own year sits on the driver side, Alexis Ohanian’s appears opposite, and the rear entries carry the years linked to daughters Adira and Olympia.

Interior work came from Color and Materials Designer Christine Wakefield, together with the Lincoln CMF team. Brown leather covers the seats and includes perforation inspired by tennis-ball texture. Plush sheepskin carpeting adds another layer underfoot.

Several small details continue the custom brief. Hand-painted Big Dipper and Little Dipper graphics appear on the center console. Hidden storage sections and the glovebox receive hot pink lining. The cabin avoids repeating exterior color directly, though traces remain visible through trim choices and stitched surfaces.

Williams described the finished vehicle in direct terms after delivery. “I don’t just love it. I’m obsessed with it,” she said, before adding that the build deserved “a clap, a standing ovation.”

Lincoln describes the result as a vehicle shaped around her active routine as a mother of two, athlete, entrepreneur, and designer. The project team treated every request as fixed from the start, with no room left for compromise.
